Birdie Pro Add-On Audio Harness for Evolution D5 Golf Carts 3 ft

Birdie Pro has now developed the Add-On Audio Harness for ALL models of the Evolution D5 Ranger and Maverick, which allows you to use your Stock Bluetooth Display along with your favorite Audio Equipment.

This option is for someone who has a bit more experience than just plug and play, and also wants to customize their system while saving hundreds of dollars over any current options on the market! 

Our RCA leads are made with 14awg high quality speaker wire with Plated Copper RCA ends. This will reduce noise and feedback.

** NOTE: This model comes with 3ft Audio Leads. We also have a 6ft option

** NOTE: You will need to purchase our Birdie Pro FRONT Power Harness separately, to power any audio components you add on. 

If your cart did NOT come with the upgraded sound system (NON-PLUS MODELS), and you only have the sound bar, this is your chance to upgrade your sound system at a much lower cost, and it gives you the ability to add on additoinal audio components down the road. If you have the PLUS MODEL, adding a Pre-Amp Equalizer will enhance the stock audio and allow you to add a Subwoofer, but replacing the factory amp and 4 speakers IS recommended!

Thiis option will greatly enhance your stock sound bar, and will allow you to adjust the volume and sound quality. If you need Marine Grade Equipment, check out Memphis Audio SXEQ7 or MXAEQ7. 

Total investment of our harness and a basic pre-amp, less than $120! Pyle Audio also offers a decent pre-amp for around $20, lowering your total investment to less then $95.

2. Purchase the Birdie Pro Audio Harness, a Pre-Amp described above in Option 1, and then purchase any 2 Channel Amp and Four 5 1/4" Speakers: We recommend using the Boss Audio R1002 Amp, along with Four of the Boss Audio 5 1/4" Speakers BE524 (shown in pics). This option will allow you to use your Pre-Amp to balance the sound between the Factory Soundbar, and the 4 speakers at your feet (2 in the rear seat area and 2 in the front dash area). And the sound level and quality will be amazing! Not to mention, the BE524 speakers provide a nice blue glow at night. There are other 5 1/4" speakers from Boss Audio as well like the MRGB55B, that are RGB speakers if you'd like optional colors.

Total investment less than $235. 

3. Purchase the items described in Options 1 and 2, and then add on a Powered Subwoofer:  The Pre-Amps we suggested above, along with many Pre-Amps on the market today, offer a Subwoofer OUT connection, a Subwoofer volume control and Subwoofer crossover adjustment to connect any Powered 12v Subwoofer. We recommend the Boss Audio BASS8K 8" Under Seat Subwoofer (you won't need the volume control) or any Slim Under the Seat Subwoofer (shown in pics). In our Evolution D5 Ranger 4, we used a Generic Subwoofer that cost around $60 (various models are available on the Internet).

Total investment less than $300-350. 

• ** NOTE: If you have humming or noise in your audio after installing an amp please note that EVs present a unique challenge. Without a traditional chassis ground, noise from controllers, motors, and DC-DC converters can easily enter the audio signal. A ground loop isolator is a solid first step and often helps significantly. Or use an alternate 12v source like an aux battery. This normally occurs in the PLUS models. We recommend you replace your factory amp and speakers on the PLUS models.
• We also offer the BUZZ KILL harness that will eliminate the buzzing noise you hear when you turn on your headlights.
• And on the PLUS models if you have the whistling noise, we recommend using our REAR POWER HARNESS and then running a GROUND wire from our BLACK WIRE to the FRAME of the cart. We assume no responsibility for this modification, but Evolution is now recommending it for any aftermarket audio system.

A ground loop isolator is a solid first step and often helps significantly. Or use an alternate 12v source like an aux battery. This normally occurs in the PLUS models. We recommend you replace your factory amp and speakers on the PLUS models.
• We also offer the BUZZ KILL harness that will eliminate the buzzing noise you hear when you turn on your headlights.
• And on the PLUS models if you have the whistling noise, we recommend using our REAR POWER HARNESS and then running a GROUND wire from our BLACK WIRE to the FRAME of the cart. We assume no responsibility for this modification, but Evolution is now recommending it for any aftermarket audio system.
• There are also images that show how to install a GROUND STRAP on your cart. That is another solution that works well.

Birdie Pro Half Audio Harness for Evolution Forester & Classic Plus 3 ft

Birdie Pro has now developed the Half Audio Harness for the PLUS models of the Evolution Classic and Forester models, which allows you to use your Stock Bluetooth Display along with your favorite Audio Equipment.

This option is for someone who has a bit more experience than just plug and play, and also wants to customize their system while saving hundreds of dollars over any current options on the market! 

** NOTE: This model comes with 2.5ft Audio Leads. We also have a 5ft option

** NOTE: Depending if you expand your system, you will need additional speaker wire, power wires, etc. 

If your cart came with a factory audio system but it lacks a bit of sound quality, this is your chance to upgrade your sound system at a much lower cost, and it gives you the ability to add on additoinal audio components down the road. 

Using the Birdie Pro Full Audio Harness along with most any Pre-Amp Equalizer (discussed below) and small Amplifier, will greatly enhance the sound of your Stock System, and will allow you to adjust the sound level and sound quality from easy to use knobs on your Pre-Amp Equalizer. No more fumbling for your phone, or trying to find the volume up/down controls on the screen. 

This kit does NOT include the Pre-Amp Equalizer or any other Audio components shown in the images (must be ordered separately). Keep reading below! 

In addition to using a Pre-Amp, you would then add an Amplifier along with 2-4 more speakers, and you can add a Powered Subwoofer as well. Or you can keep your Factory Speakers as well. 

While other Sound Systems currently on the market, eliminate the Stock Bluetooth connection, we at Birdie Pro wanted a way to use our Stock Bluetooth, and just enhance and expand the sound quality. And we wanted a way to customize our sound system to include the components we wanted to use. 

Here are the steps to follow: 

1. Purchase just the Birdie Pro Half Audio Harness (with 3ft or 6ft Audio Leads) and the Pre-Amp Equalizer of your choice:  We recommend using the Boss Audio EQ1208 with Red Illumination or Boss Audio AVA1210 with Blue Illumination (shown installed on a D5, in pics). Thiis option will greatly enhance your stock system, and will allow you to adjust the volume and sound quality. If you need Marine Grade Equipment, check out Memphis Audio SXEQ7 or MXAEQ7. 

2. Then you MUST Purchase any 2 or 4 Channel Amp and 2-4 Speakers (you can re-use your Factory Speakers if desired but we do not recommend it): We recommend using the Boss Audio R1002 Amp, along with 2-4 of the Boss Audio 6 1/2" Speakers BE654 (shown in pics). This option will allow you to use your Pre-Amp to balance the sound between the Factory Speakers (or the speakers you replace them with), and the 2-4 speakers you may add. And the sound level and quality will be amazing! Not to mention, the BE654 speakers provide a nice blue glow at night. There are other 6 1/2" RGB Speakers available online as well if you want to control the colors.

** Again, we recommend replacing your Factory Speakers and running new larger gauge speaker wire! 

3. Purchase the items described in Options 1 and 2, and then add on a Powered Subwoofer:  The Pre-Amps we suggested above, along with many Pre-Amps on the market today, offer a Subwoofer OUT connection, a Subwoofer volume control and Subwoofer crossover adjustment to connect any Powered 12v Subwoofer. We recommend the Boss Audio BASS8K 8" Under Seat Subwoofer (you won't need the volume control) or any Slim Under the Seat Subwoofer (shown in pics). In our Evolution D5 Ranger 4, we used a Generic Subwoofer that cost around $60 (various models are available on the Internet).

Total investment less than $300-350.

Without a traditional chassis ground, noise from controllers, motors, and DC-DC converters can easily enter the audio signal.
