2025 EVOLUTION RANGER D5 4 SEATER NON PLUS AUDIO BUILD USING THE BIRDIE PRO HARNESS
I will want to start off that you will need to know a little about car audio. Otherwise honestly, this may be more difficult than plug and play.
Basically what the Birdie Pro Audio Harness does is to intercept the Audio signal coming out of the Factory Display (head unit).
** The images at the bottom show the install on a 2025 D5 Ranger 4. The additons were the Birdie Pro Audio Harness, Birdie Pro Front Power Harness, Birdie Pro Rear Power Harness, Boss Audio Pre-Amp, Hawg Wired 300w Amp, 4 Boss Audio Lighted speakers, and a generic 600w Subwoofer. The Amp and Subwoofer run off of their own 12v 100ah battery, which then has its own on-board charger. You can see the charging port we installed on the back of the front seat.
Below is a diagram that someone put together for me that bought the harness and built their own audio system. This should give you a good idea of what needs to be hooked up and how.
My suggestion is to start with these items from us:
https://motomentum.com/products/birdie-pro-harness-audio-and-power?variant=46926153285819
** You only need the 3ft model
** This will provide power under the front dash
Then get this pre-amp from either eBay or amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002VMVMW
Or a similar pre-amp. if you need Marine Grade, a lot of people have had good luck with the Memphis Audio Brand. We sell Memphis Audio and are just getting some items added to our website, so check our prices there as well and I'll do my best to beat any Amazon or eBay price you see.
Then this amp: https://www.walmart.com/ip/955300097 or similar 300 watt MAX amplifier
We offer our Hawg Wired Amps for $75 if you prefer something more powerful
https://motomentum.com/a/search?options%5Bprefix%5D=last&q=hawg+wired+amp
You will have to DM me for the coupon code.
This subwoofer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DTXW3HWP or one similar. For $60 this subwoofer absolutely shakes the cart. I know some of you are going to 800w, and that's great as long as you can fit it in your design. As you can see below mine tucked in nicely under the Front Seat.
These speakers if you want a blue light, but you can get just about any 5.25" speaker... but these for sure fit the hole: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W2G8K2Z
*** these may not be available on Amazon any longer… but you can Google Search for them. Speece is a wholesale company of Boss Audio and you can buy direct from them.
Those speakers come with plenty of speaker wire. But you'll need some 18awg wire for the lights in the speaker. They also have RGB speakers available for about twice the cost. I was happy with Blue.
These aluminum shelves if you want to build a power plate to mount everything: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DFCVJB24?th=1 ** I mounted that under my front seat side sideways
This fuse block: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0936FJQZP
We are now selling The Juice Box from lsv-solutions.com ! It is available on our website here: https://www.motomentum.com/lsv-solutions-the-juice-box-for-evolution-d5-models-and-others-5711782

And lastly this battery: www.amazon.com/dp/B0CX1HB13Q ** fits perfect under the front seat as well on a NON PLUS model. it comes with an on-board charger as well, and you can see where I also then added a charging port in the back of my front seat (last image), so that I just plug in a 110v extension cord to keep that charged. That handles my Amplifier and Subwoofer, and my INTERIOR lights.
You can also use a nice 30amp or 40amp 48v-12v Converter instead of the battery. There are some nice models available online like www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS2XGRM8 or www.amazon.com/dp/B0F489TY49. A converter is a great option on a PLUS model as well.
If you think you will only use 20amps of power, adding our Birdie Pro Rear Harness (link below) is a great option as well.
As for how to connect all of that, again you need some audio knowledge or maybe that image will help. Or you can run the questions in the forums, as there are a lot of great ideas besides ours.
Lastly, there is that chance you'll have the famous 'buzz noise' after installing any Audio component. You can see in the 2nd from last picture where I installed a ground strap from my fuse block to a bare frame connection. If you purchased our Rear Power harness it now includes a grounding strap with instructions. https://www.motomentum.com/birdie-pro-add-on-12v-rear-power-harness-for-evolution-d5-golf-carts-5654686
Good luck and you will love it when it's done.So will your neighbors!

This is the 12v port I installed in the back of my front seat, to charge my 12v battery.
