Third Thursday Trivia: Who Holds the World Record for Longest Individual ATV Side-Wheelie?

This one’s probably a bit more difficult than last month’s Third Thursday Trivia, but once you know, it’ll be a fun fact to impress your friends!

Individual ATV Side Wheelie by Yannick Dupont

The World Record Holder for the Longest Individual ATV Side-Wheelie was achieved by Yannick Dupont (France) at the Cite de l'Automobile, Mulhouse, France, on 6 April 2015. Dupont rode a total of 34.29 km (21.30 miles) up on two wheels! To put that into perspective, that's just about the distance between the UK and France!

Who was the previous World Record holder for the longest individual ATV side-wheelie?

Previously, this world record was held by Daniel Adams (USA) measuring 27.18km (16.89 miles), and was recorded in Grantsville, Utah (USA), in October of 2012.

Who holds the current World Record for Longest Tandem ATV Side-Wheelie?

Another intriguing fact about Yannick is that he also holds the world record for Longest Tandem ATV Side-Wheelie, along with Dalila Ouadah (France). The duo rode on an Arctic Cat 300 DVX for 26.07km (16.20 miles) on the same track that Yannick had completed his individual world record on April 21, 2014.

How many total world records are there?

As of the 2022 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records (its 67th year of publication, published in 100 countries and 23 languages), the database maintains over 53,000 records! WOW!
